Quality

The Company operates in accordance to the full regulatory and legislative framework regarding the distribution of natural gas, whilst improving and upgrading its internal procedures.

The Company focuses on the optimum satisfaction of final consumers, distribution network users and its partners. The Company focuses on the best possible satisfaction of end consumers, users of the natural gas distribution network, in addition to its partners. From the initial stages of planning the distribution networks until the provision of services to final consumers, the Company focuses on quality along with every other means necessary to ensure the safe and uninterrupted supply of natural gas to every home and business.

The planning and implementation of a certified Quality Management System for the entire range of the Company’s activities, in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 (GR) (EN) standard, is a strategic choice which proves the commitment of the Company’s Management in achieving its primary goal of continuous strengthening all stakeholders trusts, in accordance with the Quality Policy (GR) (EN).

The Quality Management System of The Company has been certified since 2006 by an accredited certification body.

Health and Safety

The primary strategic objective of the Company in context of its activities is to ensure a safe working environment for both human resources as well as its partners to prevent the occurrence of unwanted incidents.

As to this end, the Company has established a working environment where each one of us individually but also all together, are responsible for our personal safety, the safety of our colleagues, and also for the safety of all stakeholders affected by The Company’s activities and operations. The commitment of The Company is pointed out in the Health, Occupational & Road Safety Policy (GR) (EN) and is guided by the motto “Of course, We care”.

The objectives of The Company regarding Occupational Health Safety & Road Safety matters are achieved with the implementation of relative management systems.  The Company has been certified on Occupational Health and Safety Management System since 2008, in accordance with OHSAS 18001:2007. In 2019, the Company successfully transitioned from the certification of the OHSAS 18001 to the new international standard ISO 45001:2018 (GR) (EN).

In addition, as a significant part of the company’s human resources is employed on a daily basis in the road network of Attikis basin, the company manages road risks with the development, implementation and certification of a Road Safety Management System in accordance with the International Standard ISO 39001:2012 (GR) (EN)

Environment and Energy Saving

The strategy of The Company, as one of the major companies in the domestic energy sector, focuses on environmental protection and energy conservation throughout its operations. The Company is committed through it’s environmental policy (GR) (EN) to the implementation of actions aiming the reduction of its environmental and energy footprint.

The achievement of the environmental and energy policy of The Company is achieved by the implementation and the certification of the Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001:2015 (GR) (EN), as well as the Energy Management System according to ISO 50001:2018 (GR) (EN).

The Company implements a series of continuous actions and activities aiming the constant improvement of its environmental performance as well as the reduction of its environmental footprint in order to protect water, air and soil resources and increase energy efficiency, such as:

  • Rational management of waste resulting from the development and maintenance of the natural gas distribution network.
  • Improving recycling programmes in offices and warehouses
  • The renewal of the vehicle fleet with the aim of reducing emissions
  • Continuous information and training of employees on environmental protection and energy saving issues, in order to maintain a high level of environmental culture and practice.

COVID-19 prevention measures

The Company with a high sense of responsibility, setting as main priority the health of its employees, as well as the public health, proceeded from the beginning of the pandemic to take appropriate preventive measures against the coronavirus. The main goal of the Company was to avoid the spread of infection in the workplace, particular attention was given to workers who belong to vulnerable groups.

Awards

The continuous improvement of the Quality, Occupational Health and Road Safety, Environment and Energy Management Systems and the actions implemented by The Company in order to create a safety and environmental culture, resulted in the nomination of important national award competitions.

The Company has been awarded for five consecutive years, receiving a total of 22 Health & Safety Awards. In 2020, in particular, the Company received the top award of Occupational Health and Safety Team of the Year of the specific event.

In the year 2020 he participated for the first time in the Environmental Awards and received 2 awards.
