Natural gas is a completely natural product, it is lighter than air and if released into the atmosphere it is immediately removed. It is odourless but a characteristic odour is added to detect possible leakage. It is also non-toxic, since it does not contain carbon monoxide.

Safety premises

Gas network construction projects in Attica are implemented according to modern and strict standards. The operation of the network is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a special electronic system (SCADA) in the company’s modern control centre. In addition, preventive and systematic inspections of correct operation are conducted on site by qualified technicians.

Specialized engineers, licensed plumbing installers and licensed burner technicians undertake the construction and regulation of the internal gas installations both outside and inside the building. The internal installation regulation applied by Enaon EDA is harmonized with the standards set by the European Community and applied in Western Europe.

Prior to the start of gas supply, a final inspection of the installation is always carried out by the technical inspectors of Enaon EDA.

Safety devices

In the event that the apparatus flame goes out, the special mechanism of the gas appliances automatically cuts off the gas supply. Additionally, a special gas detector can be installed in the room with an automatic shut-off mechanism.
